Make sure you choose a barrel that has the finish and chamber length that matches your Maxus shotgun. If all specifications are identical, the barrel will be interchangeable with your existing barrel.

Advantages of owning extra barrels. Many purchases of barrels are to replace damaged barrels (from rust or other heavy use), but it is also an advantage to own extra barrels of slightly different barrel lengths for different hunting conditions — longer barrels for sporting clays and a shorter barrel for hunting upland game in heavy woods, for example.
